Nurturing Young Children for Over 50 Years
St. Stephen’s Church was home to an outstanding preschool for 50 years before the Covid pandemic. While St. Stephen’s Preschool was closed during that period, educators and families who had been part of the preschool community began a new school, called Dogwood Preschool. Happily, in 2023, Dogwood was able to move into the space where St. Stephen’s Preschool had nurtured so many young children in the community. While Dogwood is an independent school, the relationship between the preschool and St. Stephen’s is a close and very happy one, and our rector and a current member of the vestry serve on the preschool’s board. We are deeply grateful to have this excellent school on our campus.
Nurture your child’s creativity and build his or her self-confidence through Dogwood’s dynamic age-appropriate preschool curriculum. Many current members of the staff have connections to St. Stephen’s Church and/or St. Stephen’s Preschool. We think this is the perfect match.
