Flowers at Sunday Services

Many people like to make donations of flowers in memory of (or in thanksgiving for) loved ones. These gifts are acknowledged in the service bulletins for our Sunday morning services.

If you would like to give a flower memorial, please use the form below. For a regular Sunday memorial, please submit a request at least two weeks prior to the date you wish the memorial to be in the Sunday bulletin. We finalize bulletins well in advance.

The suggested donation is $150.

This is a two-step process.

Step 1 is to complete the form linked below in the purple button; this is where we’ll obtain the information we need to honor your loved one.

After you complete the form, you may make your donation online or by sending a check to the parish office.

Laurie Rogers, who coordinates flower memorials, will confirm your request within 72 hours. If you do not hear from her please check to make sure she received your request.

Do not use this form for Easter or Christmas memorials. Use the form in the next section.

SUNDAY REQUEST

Step 2 is payment. Please do not make a payment until you have completed the Sunday Request form.

You may make your payment online using our online giving platform, or by check.

In the online giving platform (HERE), be sure to select Sunday Flower Memorials from the dropdown menu. (It is not the first item in the menu.)

If paying by check:

  • Make check payable to St. Stephen’s Church
  • Write “Flower Memorial” on the memo line of the check
  • Mail to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 6000 Grove Avenue, Richmond, VA 23226

Again, please be sure to make an online or written request, not just a check or online payment, or the flower guild and the finance office will not have the information they need.

If you need assistance, please call the parish office, 804.288.2867.

Easter flowers

Holiday Flower Memorials
(Easter and Christmas)

At Easter and Christmas, you may make a memorial contribution toward the beautiful arrangements for these special services. At Easter, our flower guild creates beautiful arrangements using spring flowers. At Christmas, they combine fresh greenery with seasonal flowers. The name(s) of the loved one(s) you are remembering will be published in the bulletins for Easter Day or for Christmas Eve, as appropriate.

Please be sure to use the correct request form, as there are separate ones for Sunday memorials and for holiday (Easter or Christmas) memorials.

Reminders and deadlines for these special holiday memorials are announced in our weekly communications; be sure to observe the deadlines, as bulletins for these services are finalized well in advance.

This is a two-step process.

Step 1 is to complete the form linked below in the purple and white button; this is where we’ll obtain the information we need to honor your loved one.

After you complete the form, you may make your donation online or by sending a check to the parish office.

Laurie Rogers, who coordinates flower memorials, will confirm your request within 72 hours. If you do not hear from her please check to make sure she received your request.

Please use the form below only for Easter or Christmas memorials. For a regular Sunday memorial, use the form in the Sunday memorial section of this page.

HOLIDAY REQUEST
