About the Event
Living hospitality: sharing the love of Christ
Following Communion, we pray, “Send us out to do the work you have given us to do, to love and serve…” or “Send us now into the world in peace, and grant us strength and courage to love and serve you…”
Bearing Christ’s loving welcome—a form of faithful hospitality—enlivens and heals us and those we welcome and is a practice available to all Christians. To deepen our culture and practice of hospitality we are offering another Living Hospitality workshop later this month. One hundred forty-five people registered for the February workshop, which exceeded our 100-seat capacity, so we are excited to share the experience and heartfelt joy again. A simple soup and sandwich lunch is provided, and registration is open through Sunday, April 20.
Participants will:
• ground our vision and understanding of hospitality in Holy Scripture;
• share stories of hospitality and new insights with one another around tables;
• develop skills and practices to share the love of Christ at St. Stephen’s and in the world.
