Our national life: A Sacred Conversation

Sunday, June 1

11:30 am - 1:00 pm

About the Event

We are offering three “Sacred Conversations” focusing on our current national life, building on previous Sacred Conversations as well as last year’s Sacramental Citizenship class. We are living through a tumultuous time as a nation, marked by suspicion and polarization, and wondering about the future of our communities. Though it may not always feel like it, this tumult houses untold stories of grace and solidarity. In these Sacred Conversations, we give voice to that which has been unspoken and unprocessed and discover ways to engage with current events and one another. Each session is facilitated by two members of St. Stephen’s clergy. In these conversations, we will share our feelings and personal narratives; we will not debate. All are welcome, regardless of prior experience with the Sacred Conversations format.

The two Sunday events (June 1, 11:30 a.m. and June 8, 7 p.m.) take place in Palmer Hall Chapel. The Wednesday event (June 4, 6 p.m.) takes place on Zoom. Use the registration form to let us know you’re participating and which session you will join.
