About the Event

Sanctuary, St. Stephen’s Compline Choir, presents its annual concert of music and poetry for the winter solstice, “A Celebration of Light.” The concert will also feature Peter Greydanus, cello, and Andrew McAvoy, guitar, and will be conducted by Jeffrey Riehl.

This candlelit concert offers respite and beauty in the midst of a busy season. Music and poetry for the longest night of the year prepares us for the joy of light’s return. Featured composers include Reena Esmail, René Clausen, Alf Houkom, Jan Sandström, and others.

A reception follows.

Reserve your place ($20; students $10) here. No paper tickets will be issued; present your email receipt at the door.

St. Stephen’s Church is handicap accessible. Free parking is available in the parking lot adjacent to the parish house and on the street.

Labyrinth walk

St. Stephen’s labyrinth will be available in Palmer Hall Chapel beginning at noon for those who would like to walk the labyrinth before the concert.
