Weddings at St. Stephen’s Church
We are happy to explore with you the possibility of having your wedding at St. Stephen’s Church. Clergy, staff, and volunteers will do all they can to make the day a blessed one.
Please bear in mind that St. Stephen’s Church is an active parish rather than a wedding venue. Your desire to be married in this sacred space signifies to us that you are committed to being active members of this or another faith community.
The sacramental rite of marriage is available to couples regardless of their sexual orientation. Pronouns and other gendered language in the service found in the 1979 Book of Common Prayer can be adapted for LGBTQ couples. In addition, supplemental liturgies have been developed and authorized for use throughout the Episcopal Church for LGBTQ couples and other couples who wish to use them.

While we are in the process of revising some of these guidelines and forms, these two items will serve as the entry point for you and your fiancé/e.
The Book of Common Prayer
Weddings at St. Stephen’s are conducted according to the marriage liturgy found in the Book of Common Prayer and other liturgies authorized by the Episcopal Church.

First Steps
If you think you may wish to be married at St. Stephen’s Church, the first step is to complete a Wedding Request Form. Once this form is received, a member of our staff will be in touch with you within 10 business days.
After a date and time are secured, you will complete additional forms and requests related to flowers, videography, wedding bulletins, and other items.
