12-Step/Recovery Groups

St. Stephen’s Church provides meeting space for a number of 12-step and recovery groups such as AA, Al-Anon, DA, and OA. On weekdays when the parish office is closed, such as holidays, the AA group can still meet. (Please note that this is the case only for AA, not for the other recovery groups that use space at St. Stephen’s.)

If you have further questions about any particular group, please consult their websites. Because these groups are anonymous, we neither publish nor provide contact information.

At this time, the following groups are scheduled to meet regularly at St. Stephen’s Church.

Other changes to the schedules of individual groups may occur without the knowledge of the church office.

How to find the locations on St. Stephen’s campus:

  • All groups meet in the parish house, the large building next to the church.
  • The undercroft is in the basement of the parish house, and while it is accessible from the main part of the parish house via steps or elevator, the most direct route is from the Three Chopt access road that runs along the campuses of St. Stephen’s and St. Bridget Catholic Church. From the access road/parking/café area, enter the courtyard next to the church building and look for exterior steps leading down to the basement.
  • Numbered rooms (e.g., Room 14) are on the top floor of the parish house, accessible by stairs or elevator.
  • The library and the small fellowship hall are on the main floor of the parish house. If you enter from the large parking lot at Somerset and Grove, follow the rugs down the hall towards the Three Chopt end of the building.
