Baptism Request Form
When a child is baptized at St. Stephen’s Church, he or she becomes a baptized member of the church. And just as the child needs parents and godparents to make promises and vows on the child’s behalf, so the child needs the ongoing support of parents and the parish church community in nurturing a life-giving faith. We assume, therefore, that one or both parents are members of St. Stephen’s Church who are actively tending their own faith and relationship with God. If parents are not members, we are happy to help with that. There are many ministries at St. Stephen’s Church that address the needs of children, as well as the joys and challenges of Christian parenting, and we are eager to help you find what your family needs. There is no charge for any of the sacraments of the church. Everything the church does is available to all, regardless of a person’s means, just as God gives freely to all. An important, customary part of active church membership is an annual financial pledge, which makes all of our ministries possible.
