Silent Night: Community service for parents grieving the death of a child

About the Event

The holiday season that begins with Thanksgiving and continues with Advent and Christmas, and which includes so many family-oriented observances and celebrations, can be a particularly difficult time for those who have experienced the loss of a child at any age. The community-wide “Silent Night” service is for parents grieving such a loss. It takes place at First Presbyterian Church, and the music, Scripture, and other readings will be similar to the selections that St. Stephen’s parishioners may remember from the Holiday Memorial Service we hosted for many years. A member of our clergy staff will take part in the service. The entire community is invited.
