Gifts and more

May Fair House features a beautiful array of items for home, garden, tabletop, and gift-giving. Jewelry and accessories, baby items, picture frames, paper and party goods, and more are carefully selected by dedicated volunteer buyers. We also have a room filled with unique pieces by local painters, potters, and other artists. May Fair House is the place to find a gift–or a meal–for your child’s teacher, a new neighbor, a host or hostess, some who has welcomed a new baby, or someone who has suffered a loss.

Since the shop and our kitchen are staffed primarily by volunteers, we are able to invest most of our sales into community grants. You can read more about the grants program further down this page.

May Fair House Foods

May Fair House casseroles and other specialties are prepared in our kitchen using tried-and-true recipes by volunteer cooking teams of women and men. Teams are supervised by ServSafe-certified staff. While not all dishes are available at all times, here’s a list of what we prepare.

The May Fair House is run primarily by volunteers and overseen by a volunteer board. The shop has a wonderful selection of gifts as well as original work by local painters, potters, and other artists, and is famous for its entrees, sides, desserts, jams and other delicious foods–all prepared by volunteers in the May Fair House kitchen. While shop volunteers and most of the cook teams are women, men also pitch in to cook delicious foods using tried-and-true recipes: chicken pot pie, spaghetti pie, beef burgundy and many, many more.

Proceeds fund outreach grants selected by a grants committee.

Menu

All items are labeled with ingredients and instructions for cooking or reheating.

These items make wonderful gifts for new parents, someone recovering from surgery or illness, a new neighbor or someone who has just moved into a new home, your child’s teacher, or a friend who has recently suffered the loss of a loved one.

They’re also great to have on hand when you have guests, or around the holidays when you are too busy preparing for “the big feast” to prepare a weeknight meal. Since everything is frozen, you can stock up for the unexpected.

These are the entreés, sides, baked goods and other items May Fair House carries. Since our food is prepared by volunteer cook teams–each team has its own specialties–and popular dishes sell out quickly, not all dishes are available all the time.

May Fair House Holiday Bazaar

2024 Date TBD

Each year the May Fair House hosts a holiday bazaar in the parish house at St. Stephen’s Church.

May Fair’s halls are decked with stocking stuffers, beautiful gifts for everyone on your list, holiday tabletop items and paper goods, indoor and outdoor décor, Advent calendars, and more. Pick up our popular casseroles, sides, breads, and desserts to have on hand for busy nights, or to give to a neighbor, a teacher, new parents, or someone who has suffered a loss.

Enjoy the extended shop hours that day, and shop with wonderful guest vendors offering a wide variety of items.

Proceeds support the Women of St. Stephen’s outreach grants.

The date for the 2024 bazaar will be announced in the Spirit, the eSpirit, and the Women of St. Stephen’s email newsletter, as well as in the shop.
